Questions people ask
What is ResearchMate?
ResearchMate is an AI-assisted researcher discovery and outreach preparation platform. It helps users turn academic documents or research statements into ranked researcher matches.
What can I upload?
You can use a CV, SOP, research proposal, paper, or pasted research statement depending on what you have ready.
Does ResearchMate store my resume or uploaded documents?
No. ResearchMate does not save your resume or uploaded documents as files. Uploaded files are processed for matching or profile extraction, then discarded. If you choose to save profile information, only the structured profile fields you save may be stored.
Does ResearchMate guarantee admission, funding, or replies?
No. ResearchMate helps with discovery, shortlisting, and outreach preparation. Universities, supervisors, and scholarship bodies make final decisions.
Are researcher pages public?
Researcher profile details in the app should require authentication. SEO pages are public, but private matching/profile flows should stay protected.
Why do some pages say Pending database sync?
Those are transparent placeholders until verified ResearchMate database counts and official source links are connected.
Can I try ResearchMate before paying?
Yes. The product CTA is Try 1 Free Match so users can understand the matching flow before subscribing.
